Below are case studies of institutions that commissioned Intense Animation Academy to create customized curriculum.

Icreation – Bangkok, Thailand.

Icreation came to Intense to develop a curriculum for students aged 13-16 years old. Intense developed a program for these students assuming they were complete beginners. The course started with basic polygon modeling and ended with complex dynamics and particle effects.

The course Intense created ran 9 months, the deliverables included all scene files and a customized textbook. Intense sent our in-house trainer to Bangkok for 3 months to train the Icreation staff on the new curriculum content.

The collaboration did not end with the original curriculum. Intense and I-creation co-organized a Master Class in Maya Dynamics with Kevin Mannes in June 2005.

Icreation has been an outstanding success. Managing Director Ms Siriporn Osatarayakul said, “The Intense curriculum and staff training was very thorough and provided us with the kind of preparation we needed to provide ourselves the right confidence in our business”.

Republic Polytechnic, Singapore

Republic Polytechnic is the newest of the polytechnics in Singapore and teaches a methodology called “Problem-based Learning”. RP approached Intense with a requirement for a curriculum consistent with their teaching methodology; that is to say each lesson poses a problem or challenge that must be mastered by the group.

Intense delivered 16 lessons with written challenges and scene files with “before and after” outcomes. Also included was a fully customized textbook and lesson plan for lecturers.

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
NTU approached Intense to create and execute a specialized compositing course for 3rd and 4th year university students majoring in either filmmaking or animation.

Intense created 13 lessons scaling in difficulty from simple CGI composites over live action footage to complex tracking and color correction. Intense provided one of our in-house trainers to conduct each lesson and set the exams for the semester.
